Windswept Enterprises is now proud to present Weather Permitting 6, highlights from the 2003 Chase Season.
"Weather
Permitting VI - 2003 Storm Catches" is now
available. This 2 hour VHS
video is packed with
action from the 2003 Season. This year I was
lucky
enough to have captured several beautiful white
tornadoes on
video. On another tornadic event you
will see a tornado evolve from a
nearly transparent
tube into an awesome classic cone. This tornado
video
alone runs about 10 minutes. In another segment you
will see
the most beautiful tornado rope out I have
EVER seen on video.
You will
see over a dozen tornadoes along with some
incredible supercell
structure and awesome lightning.
Severe Weather enthusiasts and
Storm Chasers will not
be disappointed by this video.
The following is a recent review by Brian Morganti of WXP-6.
Video Review - "Dean Cosgrove's WX-Permitting VI"
For those of you who like to stock up on chase highlights tapes for
viewing over the long cold months ahead, I would highly recommend Dean
Cosgrove's latest addition to his "Weather Permitting" series.
WX-Permitting VI includes plenty of good old fashion raw tornado
footage, all filmed by Dean during his very successful 2003 chase
season. In fact, the only fault I could find with this video is that
Dean makes finding all these tornadoes much too easy!
Wx-Permitting VI includes tornadoes in just about every type and stage
imaginable, and there are a couple of truly awesome close encounters
featured as well. Dean also includes several wide angle/time lapse
views of some really beautiful supercells, incredible lightning
displays, and chasers facing the raw power of Mother Nature in his
video. There are so many events to pick from; it's difficult to choose
a favorite! I particularly liked Dean's very close and dramatic
encounter on May 8th with a white tornado near Lawrence, KS. For
structure freaks (like me), you will really like Dean's view of a
beautiful LP storm at sunset near Ogallala, NE on July 21st. Weather
Permitting VI is a must have for collectors of this series, or a great
start for anyone new to Dean's highlights tapes. Congratulations to
Dean on his successful chase season and a well done highlights tape!

The following is a review by Mike Hollingshead of this video:
Dean Cosgrove's Wx-Permitting VI-2003 Video Review
The first thing one will notice when they purchase Dean Cosgrove's
WX-Permitting VI video is the number of times you see the word TORNADO on
the description paper that comes with it. When I got it and looked at the
chases he has on the vid and saw how often he catches naders....I
said...."holy cow" outloud to myself. LOL. A favorite chaser description
of mine.
The best tornado on the vid would have to be the Lawrence KS
tornado from May 8th. Magical would be a good word for this tornado.
Bright white tornado at close range. You can see moisture condensing into
clouds(the funnel) in the trees as it's going through. Rather cool to say
the least. Oh yes and this thing was a movin! Very difficult storm to
chase and Dean and TimS(I think) nabbed it well.
If you are a tornado fan this is a great vid to think about getting.
There are many many of them. 3-17 Mountain View OK tornado, 4-19 Newkirk OK
very nice supercell with possible/likely tornadoes, 5-31 Harrison NE white
tornado, 6-9 Stuart NE and O'Neil tornadoes, 7-14 Lake Crystal MN
tornado(which was very very cool), 7-20 Stanton NE tornadoes....lovely
backlit dark carrot shape one that lasts for about 10 minutes and an odd
long white rope that lasts a good bit....plus a few more torandoes and alot
of structure.
Dean is also a big lightning fanatic so if you enjoy a
constant cc or cg fest there are a couple of those included as well. Dean
is a HARDCORE chaser and has been for sometime so it's an easy buy....for me
anyway. Steady vid, nice and quiet when it needs to be and yet has that
personal feeling of fellow chasers around from time to time. WEll rounded
video with lots of tubes....all from one year. Yet another great very full
chase video from Dean.
